My Little Monster Man is 1...

Let's start this blog by taking a look at how long Slade's hair was. This was back in November. Obviously it was time for his first haircut.

So my mom and I got ready for an adventure. Fortunately for us, Slade loves watching a DVD thats sings songs so we put that on for him and he sat like an angel.

Here is the before shot........

We just trimmed around his ears and neck, so his hair was still pretty long but at least his ears were visible.

I couldn't believe how well he sat there. One of the very few times he's not on the go!

So get a good look at this cuz the next few pics all have the same expression. This was one of his birthday celebrations and I'm not quite sure he knew what was going on.

He was much more interested in the wrapping paper than the actually present. He was started getting into it a little bit more at the end so I think Christmas will be fun.

We were all expecting him to really get into his cake.....yah.....not so much! He enjoyed it, but was very careful when touching it.

This was the extent of the messyness. Seems like a normal day to me.

He wasn't very pleased with his dad for taking this pic.

Later that night, after bath, Cam decided to have a little fun with his hair. Holy smokes.......that is long!

So we had Nikki come over the next morning and get to work on his hair. This was more than a project. But once again he sat there very patiently.

Now, the before and after shots are way different. Slade went from looking like a big infant to a little man! What a cutie!!!!!!

We can now spike his hair without it curling. What a difference a few inches make. This was party number 2, in which the spoiling continued.

The next day when we got home. A lot of people say he looks just like Cam.......what do you think? See any resemblence?

Oh yah! He is also walking! He would only take a few steps towards me before his birthday. We got home and not even kidding....that same night he just took off like hes been doing it for a while.

Zoey loves the fact that her brother can now chase her through the house. However, when he catches her, thats a different story. He grabs her shirt and just pulls her down. Paybacks are coming early.

So needless to say, he can and does get into everything but he is our little monster man and we love him so much.

Our Happy Little Crazy Family!

My, how time flies! It's been almost 6 months since our last post, and the kids are growing like weeds. Slade is now 10 months but looks much older. He already weighs 25 pounds (3 less than Zoey)! He is such a little stinker, and knows it too. He is now crawling and will soon be walking and gets into EVERYTHING.....Zoey helps with that though and is quick to put the blame on her brother.

He still does not sleep through the night and is an early riser. Needless to say we have our hands full.

Zoey is almost 2 1/2 yrs old. She is a good big sister and loves helping around the house.

She is a quick learner, loves to read books and put puzzles together. Most of the time she listens and does what we ask her to do. Our lives are truly blessed to have our 2 wonderful children.

Cam is staying busy with football and school. He loves his job and is a great teacher and coach. His football team is doing well this year. Undefeated in conference with 2 games left. They should do well in playoffs.

I am staying busy with 2 kids and trying to keep up with the house and yard and everything else. It is by far more work than I ever thought it would be, but I love that I can stay home and raise our kids.

I am trying to start a preschool in our home next year. A couple of hours 3 days a week. We are trying to find a bigger home so we have space for that. But haven't had much luck so far.

My time is up......Slade jut woke up from his rather short nap! Hope you enjoy the pics. There are some of the fair and our family reunion to Bear Lake back in August.

Happy Birthday to our little princess! Zoey turned 2 about a month ago. I cannot believe how fast time really goes. Zoey has blessed our lives so much. She is such a sweet girl and our family wouldn't be the same without her.

She was lucky enough to have 2 birthday parties. One at each grandparent's home. Zoey is really into princesses right now and wanted a princess cake. It was really fun to make and even though it doesn't look like she had much fun in the pic, I think she loved it.

Every time she has on a dress she twirls around and says, "I'm a princess!"

Zoey got lots of fun presents....mrs. potato head, shoes, books, and her favorite movie right now Kung Fu Panda.

We love you Zoey!

So Dacia doesn't know I am doing this, and I hope to surprise her when she looks, but as I close out another school year, I wanted to thank her for all that she does for me and our little family. The life of a teacher and head coach of two sports is absolutely hectic and time consuming. Dacia just keeps pushing through without a complaint and shows me unconditional love in return. She is the greatest mother ever, and is doing an amazing job of raising two beautiful children. I look forward to a summer of spending time with you and the kids. I love you more than you can understand, and know the sacrifices you make for us. Thanks again honey!

Whats been going on?

I must start by saying I love my kids! I think they are wonderful and I'm very lucky to have them in my life. We have been very busy these last few months and it gets harder and harder to find time to update our blog. It has been one thing after another and hopefully things will settle down just a bit. Cam and I were both sick with that nasty cough that never seems to leave, then Slade got sick and had 2 inhalers to help him.
I decided that it would be fun to play in an alumni basketball game at the end of March. Well things didn't turn out with fun in the equation. I somehow managed to hurt my knee and ended up limping around for a few weeks before I got an appointment to get it checked out. Turns out I tore my medial meniscus and had to have surgery. Yah! We were all pretty excited about that.

I had surgery the end of April and was lucky enough to be able to stay at my parents so they could help with the kids. Cam had parent teacher conferences so had to be in Gooding.

It all worked out ok. Since it was Easter weekend he came when he was finished with school and we got to spend some time with both families.

Cam is keeping busy as usually. I'm pretty sure he is counting down the days till school is out. And that means one thing.....football stuff, basketball stuff, and more football stuff. His summer will be busy for sure.

We were wanting to move to a bigger place before summer but it doesn't look like that will happen.

Slade is growing like a weed. He is now 5 months and about 20 pounds. He is a big boy. All he wants to do is eat. He started rice cereal and loved that, then went to vegetables and fruit all of which he can't get enough of. I've been trying to get him on a bottle since my surgery but he is one stubborn boy and wont take it very good. He is just now starting to feel more like himself after having thrush for the second time and 2 ear infections. He rolls over when he wants to and can sit up by himself for the most part. He is a very active baby and likes to be entertained.

Zoey is turning into a little girl. She will be 2 in just a couple of weeks. She has been potty trained for about 2 months now. She can't wait for warmer weather to play outside. She loves outside and I'm sure will spend most of the day out there if she could. Easter was fun with her this year. She loved finding eggs. It was a lot of fun watching her, as she would run up to an egg and yell out the color, sometimes picking it up, sometimes running to another one! She knows her colors and had a fun time finding all the yellow eggs. She can be such a big help around the house and she can be the complete opposite as well.

I've heard of terrible 2's and I can say not real fun, but all kids go through it so I can't complain too much.

It was kinda cold on Easter so Slade had to wear Aunt Alicia's hat. He didnt enjoy it too much.

Zoey likes playing with Slade and showing him how to roll over. Slade would perfer just to watch her.

He loves cuddling with things, especially around his face.

This was his first time with rice cereal. Not too messy.

Slade can only sit in his chair for a little while. His legs are so big he gets stuck. He takes after his dad with his big thighs.

I thought this pic was pretty funny. Not only does it show off his manly belly, but his expression tells all. Obviously these clothes were too small. I had to dig in the diaper bag for emergency back up clothes as he exploded in his and since his clothes are in Zoey's room and she was taking a nap, he suffered through for a little bit.

Not to worry, there are bigger clothes in the bag now!

This is an earlier picture, probably back in early March. I wonder how long they will want to hug each other. I'm sure the fighting will start soon enough.

I know this blog was kinda scattered, but with 2 kids and naps never long enough I did the best I could.

How Sweet It Is!

Hello to all! Thought I would update the past month of our lives. Lets start with my pretty boy! Slade.....my how he is growing. He is only 2 1/2 months old but is topping the scale at nearly 16 pounds and 25 inches long. He is already wearing 6 month clothes and looks older every day. He has such a sweet spirit and everytime he smiles my heart melts. He has been battling thrush the past month but is now on stronger medicine so hopefully will get over it. On his 2 month check-up the doctor heard a murmur in his heart so they decided to do some extra blood pressure and oxygen test to be on the safe side. They had to bring out the "big" cuffs for his thighs. Everything
came back looking good and just something they will check with each appointment.
He didn't have much say about wearing Zoey's hat but I'm sure when he gets bigger he will get his revenge on both Zoey and I. It's so fun to see them interact with each other.
Zoey, my little bug, who is quickly approaching 2 years in May, has quite the personality. She is now talking in sentences, dressing herself, and has even started potty training. Everything has to be her idea though and she does have a stubborn streak, but she had to get something from Cam....right?! She is really starting to show her love for her little brother. In fact almost every morning the first thing out of her mouth is, "Where's Slade?" She is a smart little thing. She already knows 20 letters of the alphabet and we are continuing to work on numbers 1-10. Colors seem to be hard for her and it makes me wonder if maybe she inherited Cam's color blindness as well.

Both kids are growing and doing well and I count my blessings every day that I have been given the opportunity to be their mom.

Cam's basketball season just finished. They won more games this year then they have in the past 3 years combined. He did a lot for those boys and while they didn't go as far into tournaments and he would have liked, I think he would say it was a successful season. He is already starting football stuff, working on camps and retreats and anything else to do with football. Sometimes I wonder if theres a big football inside his head. He has been off pop since the first of the year and is determined to lose weight now that basketball is over.

I'm enjoying life as a wife and a stay at home mom. Even though Zoey knows how to push my buttons, its fun to see her grow and try to get away with things. Cam and I were released as CTR 4 teachers and I was given the calling as nursery leader. I think this was more for Zoey's sake. She started off really good in nursery then Slade was born and it went downhill in a hurry. I've been in for 2 weeks now and I enjoyed it. It was be nice when Zoey lets down her guard and doesn't worry about me leaving every minute. It takes her a while to warm up to people and likes having mom around in "scary" situations. Cam got off the hook with no calling, but I'm sure that will change soon. We are currently deciding whether to continue to rent or find a place to buy. We would like to find a house a little bigger than what we are in now. We are hoping to be in something different by summer.

We try to take each day as it comes and enjoy the moments that fill those days. Hope you enjoy the pics. Zoey is still in her refusal to smile phase but I did the best I could. The pic above shows her 'mad' face. Who would of thought that between Cam and I we could make such stinkin cute kids!!! We are certainly what one would call a Happy Family!!!!!!

What Ever Happened To a Nice Relaxing Life With No Responsibilities?!

Just to warn you ahead of time, I went a little picture crazy with this blog. I must be a proud parent or something because I thought all the pictures were blog worthy, but I narrowed it down as best I could. Hope you enjoy!

Well Slade spent most of his first month of life sleeping, only waking up to eat and poop. I didn't complain though, it gave me an opportunity to establish a routine and it just so happened that Zoey was pretty sick for 3 weeks. I think the Lord knew I couldn't handle a sick child and a newborn who was awake all the time. Things have slowed down as much as possible I suppose. Everyone is healthy and well. I'm not sure about Cam, but I am counting down till basketball is over, I'm ready to have a husband back. He has done a good job with rebuilding yet another team and the boys work hard for him. He works hard and we are proud of him. Zoey is still adjusting to life with a little brother and has gone back and forth to being a big sister and a little mommy, thinking she can take better care of Slade than I can.

We have had a few run ins and are starting to see some behavior that doesn't fit her, but I know its normal.
This was a day that she liked having Slade around. It was the first week we were home

Zoey hasn't had her usual cheesy smiles for pictures lately so we take what we can get. She is now into dressing herself, whether its her clothes or mine. She even tries to get Slades on.

This is what happens when Daddy gives her a bath. I can't believe how long her hair has gotten. She has grown up so much even from the summer.

I don't really see any resemblence between them, but I promise they are siblings. Slade has packed on the pounds and a week ago he already weighed 12 pounds 4 oz. His 3 month clothes are borderline small for him. He sure didn't stay a newborn for very long.

Cute little family. I couldn't ask for anything more. I love them so much and am very blessed to have them. I knew having 2 kids would be hard, but I didn't know how hard. It has taken adjustment. I feel like a bad mother to one or the other when I cant give them 1 on 1 attention, but I know thats not possible.

I dont miss working onie bit. Each day has its challenges but this is by far the best job I could ask for.

I can already tell he is going to be a deep thinker. What a handsome boy!

Christmas morning at my parents house. Slade slept through most of it but loves what Santa brought him.

This was one of the days Zoey wasn't feeling good and this pictures shows it. Santa brought her a bike which she rides around our living room as best she can. I'll be glad when the weather warms up so we can go outside.

We blessed Slade in Murtaugh January 2 and had a lunch at Grandma Nell's house. It was a busy day to end Cam's 2 week vacation. We had lots of family come and support us. Slade's cousin Kayson thought he was wearing a dress because of his bow tie.

A good picture of Slade, not so much of me. I can't believe how much he has changed already. His hair is getting lighter and has a reddish tint to it. Still has quite a bit, not as much as he was born with but hanging on.

He looks so little in Cam's arms, but trust me, he's becoming quite the chunky monkey. Slade, not Cam!!

This was one of Slade's first real smiles. He was so serious for the longest time but is now starting to show his personality. He loves people talking to him and coos right back. When Zoey decides to give him sloppy kisses he'll even grumble, which Zoey thinks is hilarious.

Kinda looks like he's going on a ride, but he was just really excited. Cute dimples and little butt chin!

This one is the latest of them together. If it looks like Slade has curly hair, he does. He just had a bath and talk about the curls....unfortunately it usually dries straight. It's so hard to get a good pic of them together. We've been trying since he was born.

And last of all....He doesn't even get left alone when he sleeps. In fact this is Zoey's favorite time to "play" with him. She'll pile her toys right on top of him. One of these days he's going to get lost in them.

I just want to thank all our family and friends again for all they have done for us this last month and a half. We were gone every weekend for the first month for one thing or another, and I'm sure we were more of a burden on my mom as she was kind enough to let us stay at her house.

2 kids has definetly changed our lives, but I can honestly say for the better. I feel a heavier load on my shoulders to teach them right and guide them but like I said before....its worth it. I can't imagine my life without 2 beautiful children and a loving husband who I dont give enough credit to. While our lives will continue on a roller coaster, I will try to keep pics up to date. Until then, count your blessings!

He made it!!! Slade Ronnie Andersen came into our lives Saturday December 4th. As you can see from some of the pictures he was an early Christmas present (at least for me). Cam got a new T.V. For everyone who told me I didn't look 9 months pregnant, I just want to say this baby was no easy task, weighing in at 9 lbs and 21 inches long. He has quite the squeal and set of lungs on him, fortunately he has been pretty good natured thus far. He takes after his dad in almost every way, including all that hair. He has Zoey's chin and facial expressions but the rest is all Cam. Zoey was a little unsure of things at first but came back later that night and gave little brother kisses! What a sweet girl!!! It has been hard being away from her, and I think she is adjusting better than I am.

So far, we have a healthy baby boy and will be able to go home Monday. I tested positive for Strep B and unfortunately they were only able to give one dose of antiboitics before he was born, so there is a little concern that he could get infected. The doctors are going to do blood tests and labs tomorrow just to make sure its safe to take him.

We have much to be thankful for, 2 beautiful children, loving family and friends who are willing to do whatever to help us out. We seem to be blessed every step of the

way. More pics to come as soon as life settles down a bit.

I thought I better update our blog before baby #2 comes along and our lives change once again. For the better of course.....

These last few months have been filled with one thing after the other. We found a home in Gooding to rent and moved here in August. Cam absolutely loves being this close as he not only coached football again this year but just started basketball this week. His football season was a good one, they made it to the playoffs for the first time in a long time. He is finially starting to see hard work pay off. I am blessed to be able to stay home with Zoey. It has been so much fun! Even though she is starting to get a little bit of an attitude (of course from Cam) its been such a blessing to be with her during the day. She never ceases to amaze me with the things she knows. She talks like crazy and her facial expressions are something else. As you can tell by her pics she is quite the cheese ball when she sees the camera. She loves loves loves books. She is able to match colors together, patterns, and is learning to count to five. (she's up to 3 right now!) She loves to color and get into anything she can. She is a very sweet girl and has to give her teddy bear and monkey a kiss before naptime and bedtime. As of right now she loves her baby brother. Hopefully when he arrives she will feel the same! I'm sure it will be an adjustment for all of us. I am just hoping that Cam will be here when I need to go to the hospital. He has a string of 8 road games during my due date so it could be interesting, but I do have a few back-up plans. We are 3 weeks away from our actual due date, but I am ready whenever. I would like to make it through Thanksgiving though which is only a week away so I'm sure I will. I will try to get pics up of the new arrival when it finally happens. Till then, we will continue to count our blessings and keep taking it one day at a time.

Congratulations to me.....I have made it 3 whole years putting up with Cam! J/K honey!!! I must say it has been an adventerous 3 years with lots of memories, and of course we have our beautiful Zoey Bug to show for it and another on the way. Man, time really does fly.
Well, to celebrate our Anniversary we decided to take a trip to Utah to see family and friends and to take Zoey to the Hogle Zoo! Overall, I would say it was a success. Zoey loved all the animals and you can see by the pictures, it was a tiring weekend for her.
We were able to have dinner with Cam's cousins Friday night. After hitting the zoo and doing a little shopping Saturday, we caught up with one of my good friends from college that we haven't seen since Cam and I got married. They made us dinner (thanks again guys) and walked to the park for a little playtime. It was so much fun! They have a little boy who is just 2 weeks older than Zoey. It took them a little to get warmed up to each other but by the end of the night they were pals. Who knows, maybe they will end up together in the future!
It was nice to get away from "life" for just a little while and to enjoy our little family. Everyday is an adventure with Zoey especially now that she's walking, but I love every minute of it, and keep thinking that in just a few months our lives with get even crazier. We are extremely excited for yet another adventure and look forward to future anniversaries and memories.

GIANT NEWS, BIG News, MEDIUM news, and news!!!

Well, it has been about 2; ok, ok, 3 months since we last posted, so lots and lots have happened:
First the GIANT NEWS - Well at least for Dacia and I...school is over in the next couple of weeks. Five days for me, and 9 days for her. And that is the last nine days before she goes on a long sobatical to raise kids. Yes we will be poor, but if our kids turn out not to shoot up an elementary school because of R.A.D. then we will be in good shape. Plus the blessings seem to keep pouring down us...good thing Dacia lives right!!
Second the BIG News - Our little peanut has grown from being able to fit in my two hands to a giant monster in no time. No she isn't a monster, she is absolutely perfect and from the pictures you can tell she is also the most beautiful girl since the creation! Yep, I said it! Well Zoey turned 1 this week. 1! She has four teeth, and is working on walking, and never gets her way!! We love our monster bug and are trying to figure out how to keep her young so she never grows up!!
Third the MEDIUM news - We are going through a transition as far as living quarters go. We are planning on moving closer to my work this summer in Gooding, since Dacia won't be working. Until then we have gone the route of the vagabond and will temporarily stay at Dacia's parents. It has been pretty good except we find it hard to all fit in one queen sized bed with Dacia's parents, but I found a cozy niche near the hammer toe! Just kidding Sheryl. They have been extremely gracious to let us stay here while we look for a place and we are thankful.
Last just the news - well Zoey was sitting there ready to blow out her candle and she paused and thought a second...we thought what is she doing and little did we know she threw us a major fast ball. Apparently she wished that she could be a big sister and wouldn't you know it Dacia was pregnant the next day!! Ok, maybe not the next day, but yes we are pregnant! Yes it was planned, and Dacia is 11 weeks along and due December 9th. I know this is probably the giant news, but what fun would that have been. We will try to stay updated as Dacia will now have all kinds of time (he he) so I hope to turn the blog duties over to her. Don't worry, I am sure I will stop by once in a while. Well untill then, when we will have fresh ultra sound pictures... Cya later.

Contrary to reports, we are still alive!!

As long as it has been since we have posted, there have been rumors rampant discussing our apparent demise. Those, like the rumor of Paul McCartney when he was a part of the Beatles dying are in fact false. Like an unstoppable rebel force we are back! Life is busy as Zoey has started to crawl and as much as you prod that on, when it happens, you realize it doubles your babysitting efforts. Dacia is extremely busy as her fellow teacher had her baby and doubled Dacia's work load. This leaves one stressed momma at night. She is also playing city league basketball, and dominating as usual. Her team is better than the ones I have seen her on in the past, and she enjoys to get back to competitive sports. I am busy with school in Gooding, in the middle of preparations for Gooding Football summer 2010, I am also helping out with track this year, but that is more to get some one on one time with my football guys, making sure the skill development process is being done the right way, and that the guys are non stop weights and conditioning. Ithink there will be more duties and responsibilities next year, but don't want to mention them if or untill they happen. There are lots going on in our house, and seems we are busy every night with something, but we are happy as ever and are looking forward to upcoming breaks in the school year. Christmas time is near (Really Christmas break is near!!)

Happy Holidays Y'all. I don't have a lot to say except it is Dacia's turn to do the blog and due to Christmas duty time constraints I will pull a double shift for her. So Zoey is doing good, and is growing like a weed! Here hair is finally coming in and she has 2 front teeth both on the bottom. Dad is very proud to report that her favorite food is mashed potatoes, and she is sleeping much better. It is getting her to sleep that is the problem; she is not a good napper! Dacia and I are both awaiting the long Christmas break and both have just 4 teaching days of school left this year! We can't wait to spend time with Zoey, we love her so much. The Christmas tree is massive, but we had to do it since we don't know how long we will have vaulted ceilings. We can't wait to see all of you over the holidays, and hope you have a great Christmas. Cya.

Halloween is the only day it is ok to be as ugly as I am!

Halloween means one thing at the Andersen home..... no more football, next year I hope to be still playing football in November in the playoffs, a bold prediction, but I think logical one. Well Dacia and I are in a trade off for who posts on the blog and it is my turn. Zoey is doing great, she was a little Jack-o-lantern for halloween as the evidence shows, she even wore a little ghost onesy and loved the holiday. Dacia carved a pumpkin for her, the little cute one, and I showed Senator Pride with the Gooding pumpkin. We love our little munchkin and as you can she she loves to smile, read the paper with dad, and cuddle with momma. She has these new bows which were made by Aunt Lany, and dad thinks they are on the borderline as far as size goes, but she makes the bows look cute so I can deal with it. Dacia is constantly tired because Zoey still struggles with sleeping. She wakes up at night still and fights going back to sleep. She is also becoming an absolute Momma's girl which doesn't help the situation. But, you should see Dacia as a mother! It seems as though this is her 10th kid, she is an amazing mom and you can see the absolute love and devotion to her family. I am THE luckiest man on earth. We are both excited for the upcoming holiday season, both couting down to thanksgiving and christmas breaks. (one of the big perks of being a teacher) I am taking my senior boys and coaches down to Provo to watch a college football game and stay the night. My old head coach is a coach at BYU and has done this for me for years. He takes us on a tour of the facillities: weight room, locker room, indoor practice, and even on the field with the teams. The seniors and the coaches love this and it is a good way to wrap up the season. Well, we push on, and look forward to hearing from you all. C ya. The Andersens

2 Months Into the Grind

Hey All! So it's been a long time since we've updated our blog. Sorry! But as many of you know it's football season and that means if it's not football it may not get done (right away) and since Cam is usually the one to update this, it's been up to me. Yikes! I'm just learning how, but I'll try to post more often. Cam is loving football this year. His team has won 2 games and if they beat Wendell on Friday they go to the playoffs, so he's a bit nervous about it, but excited none the less. He has put a lot of time and energy into his program this year and is excited to see some rewards which I'm sure will only increase in future years. Zoey is growing and growing. It's amazing how much she changes. She is now rolling over, eating cereal, and laughing like crazy, but still not sleeping through the night. We've had a hard time lately with her spitting up. She gets lots of bubbles and gas pains and wakes up about every hour in the night. I'm sure I'm real pleasant to be around in the mornings. (Maybe that's why Cam is gone so much). She wants to be on the go all the time and will be so glad when she can crawl. As you can see from the pics she loves things in her mouth. We have gone from calling her our little growler monkey to calling her our little monster. She'll grab your face and try to eat it. What a cutie! It's so hard to leave her and go to work. Cam said it will get easier but so far it's gotten harder, but we're blessed to have a good babysitter so that helps a little. I miss her so much during the day and find myself thinking about her all the time. Work for me is work. These next few months are going to be pretty busy with IEP's due on half my case load. The lady I teach with is prego and will miss 2 or 3 months of school starting in February, so I'm sure I'll be over stressed and wanting summer to be here. We are staying busy like everyone else and counting our blessings as we go. Go Senators!

The reunions are done and that means summer is done as well. Football starts tomorrow, Dacia's first work day is next week, and I start shortly after that. I went and saw my classroom today and have my work cut out for me. We were praying very hard about a babysitter and our prayers were answered when Mandy, a friend of ours, who initially didn't want to do it, decided to do it. She lives right by the school so Dacia is close by. As you can see from the pictures the reunion at night was cold, real cold. Zoey was bundled up tight and made through them both with no mosquito bites. There are some other pictures in there as well including the view of Bear lake from the mountain, My mother Terry holding my brothers youngest Logan, and then a group shot of the babies and their moms, Zoey and Dacia, Lisa and Olivia, and Cheryl and Logan. Getting ready for the reunion!!

Hey all. Sorry it has taken so long, we had some camera issues. We are getting excited for our big reunion at Bear Lake. In fact, we were surprisingly made the vice presidents at the last minute, and thank goodness that my wife is the way she is, because she whipped everything together lickety split. I am sure it will be stressful having that resposibility, plus taking our 2 month old on her first camping trip, but we will manage. Here are some new pictures of Zoey, chunking out and growing like a weed. At her 2 month visit she weighed 12lbs and was 24 inches long, so very impressive, we included a picture of her legs post shots as well. We love that little girl and they say and I tend to agree that she is looking more and more like her dad (probably only cause she is getting chunkier). I just finished football camp so it was a long week for Dacia with me getting home at 10:30 every night, but the guys looked great. We got 43 boys out, well more than they anticipated I could, and they worked their tales off and are beginning to buy into my system. How we will do remains to be seen, but we will work every down and leave it all on the field. Hey All!! Dacia and I are actually in Boise right now on our anniversary, you don't really realize the responsibilities of a new baby until you take them on a trip. Speaking of a trip, the last two years for Dacia and I have been unforgetable, and we love eachother so much. As I have said many times before it is trully a blessing to be married to your best friend. Now here are some updated pictures of our little monkey including one with momma (they are both so beautiful and have a special bond already). She still has those big beautiful blue eyes and a little grin that makes dadda do whatever she wants, already! We hope all of you have a happy 4th and will talk to ya soon.

Hi all, I was so glad that many of you were able to make it to the blessing, we are very greatful for all of our family and friends and all they do for us. These are the updated pictures of Zoey, some with mom and dad, some displaying here cuteness, one with her cousin Olivia, my sister Lisa's third baby who was born exactly one week after Zoey. There is also a video of us trying to wake her up. This ritual takes about 20 minutes and it's like waking up a teenager. The way she grunts and groans about things she doesn't like has earned her the nick name "Growler Monkey" and she growls a lot. She is a really good baby, sleeping through the night really well with mom having to wake her up to feed. We love this little angel, and count our blessings each day. We will continue to update. Our little Peanut is here!!!

This is our perfect baby, Zoey Ann Andersen. She was born on Wedneday May 20th at about 2:00 in the afternoon. She weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces and was about 20 inches long. Every second she has been here Dacia and I have counted our blessing to have such an angel in our lives. I know I am biased but she has got to be the most beautiful little girl in the world. We can't tell yet who she looks like most but her body is tiny and she has long fingers and toes like her momma. I will post many more pictures to come, and videos when good ones are gotten. Right now here is your introduction. The next entry will sho pictures of the birth. We love our little peanut so much and thank all that have done so much for her first few days. Talk to ya soon.

OH NO!! ITS "The Belly"!!!!! (and the things inside)

This is Peanut from the outside....quite the change if you look at pictures from the archives!

These ones above are of her appendages. The first is an absolutley cute picture of her hand, to see it on the actuall ultrasound it is massive like her dads, but her arms and legs are long like her moms. She is definately built to be a volleyballer like her momma.

These are all pictures of her head. The first one is regular ultrasound, her face is just above middle and her arm is above her head. The Second two are side profiles in 3-d They are tough to see but her face is on the left and her leg is in front of her face.

Well these are the updated pictures. Mom and Baby are doing really well. It looks like right now that she will be a small baby, if she holds current growth rate about 6 and 1/2 lbs. which is good if you know how small her momma is. Her nursery will be done this week, and we will post new pictures of it this weekend. Talk to ya then!!

Sorry all! It has been quite some time since our last post, but we have been extremely busy with work and student teaching. These pictures of Peanut are new to the blog, but are actually 3 weeks old. She is growing like crazy, weighing in over 2 pounds and is about 15 inches long. She moves and kicks like crazy and absolutely demanded that we put pictures of her room and furniture on the blog. Thats right she isn't even born and is running the roost. Dacia and I are doing really well. We spent presidents day and valentines in Boise, and enjoyed having nothing to do. We even hit the outlets and picked up Peanut some new clothes (but don't worry she isn't spoiled). The fish are growin, and Gus never fails to do his chores every day (which are eating, crapping, sitting on the leather couch looking out the window, and hauling milk rings to our bed) He always does his due diligence and isn't at all worthless. THE NEW ADDITION HAS ARRIVED........JUST EARLIER THAN WE THOUGHT!!!

Hey All,

Well big news!!! The addition our family has waited on for months is finally here! We purchased a 55 gallon fish tank! We filled it with rocks and 4 african cichlids. I have had this type of fish before, and Dacia and I both love them. The big blue one is named Silva, after Anderson Silva the UFC fighter, cause he beats up and has already killed our plecostamus named Oscar the Grouch. The one that looks like a giraffe is named Yogi after the great Jellystone bear. And the other two are a male and female that won't leave eachothers side, so we promptly named them Romeo and Juliet. As you can see Gus (our cat) is enthralled with the fish and loves to lean on the stand and try and paw them through the glass. On baby news we had an appointment and Peanut is growing up fast. All is well and Dacia has another ultrasound on the 3rd, so we should have new pictures soon. I have started student teaching at Twin Falls High School. It is fun, but a lot of work! Dacia presses on in the most frustrating job in education, special ed. It's not fun most days but has it's rewards. (when we find out what they are, we will tell you). Thats all for now, all is well. Dear All,
Well sorry that we didn't post the results earlier, but if you haven't heard, our little peanut is a girl!! We had the ultrasound on Christmas eve and told the families for Christmas. We are very excited to welcome a little girl into our lives, and pray each day that we will be good parents. We have a name picked out, but on mothers request we will not yet unveil it. I will tell you that it is just stinkin cute. I also was able to sneak a picture of momma's belly, also stinkin cute. On other news tonight I was able to feel the baby kick for the first time. What a life changing experience this whole thing is. Well this isn't going to be a very long post but here are the pictures. Cya in the new year!!

Anxiously waiting on two results!

Well here we are again! Dacia and I are loving the holiday season. He have a giant beautiful Douglas Fir tree loaded with lights, and Gus has pretty much stayed out of it (huge change from last year). School is hitting the home stretch for me, and as the theme goes we are anxiously awaiting my Praxis II test scores to see if I can student teach this sememster. If everything goes fine I am set up to student teach at Twin Falls High School starting next semester. Dacia just finished the state manditory math class. She has been having to attend it at nights once a week from 4:30 to 9:00. For a pregnant lady that is pretty taxing. She works so hard for our family, and I love her for that. The other anxiously waiting part is not really for results, but we find out what our baby is going to be on Christmas Eve. We are so excited to finally put a male/female tab on peanut, and once we find out what it is, we will publicly unveil the name! I know!!! Dacia and I are extremely blessed, and have really tried to focus this Christmas on the true meaning. I just find myself wondering if in some mud hut in Persia, the three wisemen sat around fretting over whether the gifts they were to bring were good enough, expensive enough, if they were as good as the others was, and wether any of that would offend baby Jesus. Let's all try to remember the humble beginnings of this great holliday, and how it affords us the opportunity to love eachother more, and spend time with the ones we hold dear. We will try to get some pictures up of our tree, and I will try to sneak a picture of Dacia's growing belly! He He.

Well nothing real exciting to report from the Andersen's. My Tennessee Titans are 9-0 and kicking butt, but as my wife reminds me the San Antonio Spurs are sucking it up and Parker and Ginobili are hurt, thank goodness for Timy!! Life is good, and time is a little more plentiful now that sports are over. Peanut is growing, pushing out the regions of Dacia's tummy, the ever growing tummy, and Dad's tummy seems to be growing just as fast, ahhh crap! From my side of the family, my oldest brother Eric and his wife Cheryl had their third baby boy and named him Preston Lee Andersen, which came after the names Brock and Logan, so I am going on the name "baby" till it is officially blessed and on the church records. I will try to place pictures of him but if they don't work I am sorry. School is stressful for both of us, but we are trying to hang on, we will find a lot out after my big test this week and the ISU placement for student teaching comes back. Ultrasound #2... Say hellow to peanut!

Well we had an exciting afternoon after waiting an hour in the waiting room at the doctor's office. We were ushered in to a dark room and had our second, but much more clear ultra-sound. They did a 3-d image of peanut and we were excited to see arms, legs, fingers, toes, and a very strong heart beat. It was an action packed ultra-sound complete with the baby kicking it's legs stretching it's arms and even snuggling into momma for a nap. It was very emotional to see our baby and we are so blessed that all is going ok. The pictures aren't super clear but you can see it has it's fathers "big head and pop belly" according to Dacia. The due date is still May 21st and the baby is now 10 weeks and 4 days along. This will be grand baby #19 for Grandma Terry, and Grand baby #10 for Grandma Sheryl. We will post more news soon. Cya.

Hey All! Well we are just winding down from the exitement of the last few weeks, and look forward to the holiday season ahead. Of course we are looking toward Randi's sealing to Jay and Raini on November 1st! We love Jay and Raini so much, they have been a positive righteous example of love and the way a family is supposed to be. Jay and I have been close since the beginning, and we are blessed to call them family. Congrats Jay, Raini, and Randi! Football season and Volleyball season are winding down forDacia and I and it is bitter sweet for both. We love coaching and spending time with those kids, but it can be taxing after a long hard season. In the long run it will just give Dacia some more snuggle/cuddle time with her big beef stick! Still don't know who we are voting for, but use the Tucker family page for advice! Everything is good with the baby as far as we know, it is making Dacia very sick and tired lately, she works so hard and is going to be a great mother!! (I hope so to make up for the father) Well I once again will work to get some pictures up, big ultrasound next Wednesday, and we love you all.

Sealing and BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Hi all!! Well last Saturday Dacia and I had the opportunity to get sealed in the Twin Falls Temple. What a Day!! We were in the big sealing room surrounded by all of our closest friends and family, and the spirit in the room was incredible. We were overcome when we were finally sealed after a year and a half of waiting and embraced eachother for the first time as Eternal Companions. We made the day even more special as we announced in the temple that we are expecting our first child!!! Thats right we are going to have a baby!! We are 8 weeks along, and had an ultrasound in which we heard a heartbeat and all is well. Right now we call the baby "Peanut" because, well, thats what it looks like, and it is due May 27th (also Dacia's brother Todd's B-Day). We just want to thank all of our family and friends for coming to our special day, and for all that you have done for us. We are excited for the next step of parenthood, and are incredibly blessed to start our family the right way, sealed for eternity!! We will post pictures from the big day with in the next couple days. Thanks and Cya.

Dacia and I are very blessed to be sealed to one another in the Twin Falls Temple on this Saturday, September 27. This something that we have been waiting for, for a very long time, and are thrilled that the day has finally come! It will be a great weekend because, my brother Eli gets home from his mission on Thursday and will be able to attend the sealing. He also will report on his tremendously successful mission to Honduras, San Pedro Sula that Sunday. The blessings are pouring into our home and we couldn't be more thankful for all of the support we have had from family and friends! We will see all of you on Saturday, and we will post pictures from the day next week!!!
